Report writing and more!!

What's this flower????

G'day all,

I hope you are having a good week! It was great to hear some of you telling your
Dreamtime Stories to the class on Tuesday! I was very impressed! Well done! Now I'll be looking forward to reading your opinion of a story of your own choice! I hope that some of the expressions from this morning helped you!

Today, you'll have a chance to do some research for your report on an Aboriginal item! Do a Google search for the topic you have to research. Please remember NOT TO COPY the text. You can print the information but you MUST write asbout the item IN YOUR OWN WORDS! Do not plagiarise! You can submit your work on your blog but I would like to have a hard copy of your final copy! It makes it easier for me to correct! Remember to include a picture! You'll also have to include a bibliography!

If you finish your research, please log on to
Time4English and go to the menu on the left side of the page. As you are doing a unit of work on Health with Gordana, I thought this work would be useful for you!!!!!!!!!Click on to Stories and then check out the following: Elementary- Doctor's Appointment; Intermediate- Acupuncture & Chiropractic! These are interesting listening activities!

Finally, open
Our Class 2006 and listen to the podcasts by Rosa's students from the Health Expo! Of course, this is all dpeendent on you have sound and or your headphones!!

Happy Blogging!

PS Check out Nancy's opinion of one of the stories in Comments!

G'day Marion:
Following is my opinion of a story of Flowers Of Blood!
In those three abrigins storys i like the Flowers Of Blood most.Beacause this story is very interesting and exciting. It told us about Purlimil and Borola's love story.they love each other.they wanted to get married .But they were checked by Tirlta.so they escape to bush.however Tirlta found them and killed them.so a king in the sky saw all the story ,he killed Tirlta.then there were some blood flowers growed up in the place where they were killed.this is a trigedy .kind person dead and bad man was kiled too. but it affords for thought for ever.i like it.

Hi,Marion:

I think that the picture of the flower in your blog is called Sturt's Desert Pea.
Am I correct?

Hi Marion,

Hope you have all settled back in from your break, we are so envious here of the incrasing temperature there.
Just wondering if we could organise some kind of direct communication for our students.

Four of my students have created gap fill excercises about the towns and festivals. The student's names are: Inna, Ilona, Olga and Oksana. If your class want to try them and get back to them with the answers, let me know.

g'day to you

Peter
